Doe's Eat Place - The, The Bad & The Ugly

Doe's Eat Place on Cherry Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma makes one helluva T-bone steak! If you can get past the 'rustic' interior and the sadistic prices, there is a lot to like about this Louisiana born steakhouse.

The Good:

Perfectly prepared steaks, a wide selection of craft beers, many varieties of single malt scotch, very attentive service, Blues music and NO waiting at the dinner hour on Friday night!

The Bad:

Portion sizes straight out of the Flintstones with prices more suitable for the Jetsons... no strike that...Scrooge McDuck. The smallest T-Bone they offer is 1.5 pounds! If you plan to eat one of these behemoth T-bones then for goodness sakes don't order an appetizer! Expect uncomfortable chairs, lack of baked potatoes and an uninspired salad. Which is perfect because you don't want to eat them anyway.  Save space for meat!

The Ugly:

Literally every part of this restaurant is ugly and cheap...except the prices.

We actually went to Cherry Street to eat at Killigan's Irish Pub, but the wait for dinner there was expected to be one hour. Just across the street at Doe's there was no waiting, in fact it was nearly empty.

Doe's may have sold me the best steak of my life, but I doubt that I will be back. Judging from the turnout last night, they may not be around much longer.
